Composite yarn is a blend of two or more fibers. At least one of them is a continuous filament, and such yarn is called composite yarn. At present, there are many types of composite yarns, the most common is the so-called core yarn that uses filament as the core and is surrounded by another short fiber. Composite yarn can be composed of staple fibers with excellent appearance and feel and synthetic filaments with high strength, and the selection of fiber raw materials, blending ratios, and combination methods can be changed according to the application. As a result, composite yarns are used in knitted and woven garments, decorative fabrics, as well as industrial materials and sewing threads.
