ORONA® fiber is a new elastic fiber product developed by DuPont (now Huafeng Group) in response to the certain limitations of spandex fiber in textile applications.
SORONA® is not part of the spandex family, and is a side-by-side composite fiber made from two polymers with different shrinkage rates, PTT and PET.
SORONA® fibers give fibers and fabrics a soft feel, comfortable stretch and elastic recovery, easy dyeing at ambient temperature and pressure, bright and long-lasting colors, and chlorine/UV resistance and stain resistance. It solves many problems such as not easy dyeing, excess elasticity, complex weaving, unstable fabric size and aging of spandex during use, and can be widely used in the development of various clothing fabrics.
